Introduction to Freediving (65
euros, 1 day)
A one day introduction to freediving for anyone who has always wondered what this is all about. An ideal course for snorkellers who like to dive down a bit but feel they need some guidelines how to do that well.
Schedule:
In the morning you will be taught breathing and relaxation techniques used for freediving. In the following breath-holding session you will be surprised how rapidly you will increase your breath-hold time. A theory lesson will cover the main risk of freediving: the Shallow Water Blackout.
In the afternoon you will go freediving at either the Lighthouse Reef or the Eel Garden. There you will learn diving techniques that will very quickly allow you to dive down comfortably to explore the reef.
No special equipment is needed. Snorkelling equipment (mask, snorkel, fins) is sufficient. Freediving equipment is available for rent if you want to try those long fins.
